Dear Parents and Carers,

On Friday 9th October at 9:00am, the Year 1 children will be going on a short walk to explore our local area as part of our Geography learning.

We will walk along Green Lane towards Liverpool Road North, where the children will observe and discuss the local area. We will be looking for different facilities and amenities, as well as identifying human and physical geographical features that we can see.

This will support our current Geography work on our local area and give the children the opportunity to develop their observation and fieldwork skills.

Please make sure your child has a suitable coat in school that day, as we will still be going out if there is a little light rain.

If you do not wish for your child to take part, please let a member of the Year 1 team know.
