Final Update 20.12.22 and After School Club Information for January 202320 December 2022 (by stjohnb) |
Dear Parents and Carers
And finally, the year draws to a close amidst coughs, splutters and sneezes. I do hope that these all clear up for you in time for you to enjoy your Christmas Celebrations. School has been tremendously busy with lots going on and we have finally seen an end to the cold snap that brought its own problems. Please check the school website and Twitter pages to keep up dated with all the festive activities that the children have been taking part in.
Yesterday evening saw our children enjoy their Christmas Disco’s and I would like to thank the Friends of St John Bosco for providing the children with such a fantastic and fun end to the year. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I was delighted to hear how well they all behaved.
This evening will be our Junior Carol Concert and I hope that you enjoy it as much as Fr Grant and I enjoyed the practice last week.
I am sure that all your children have told you how much they have been entertained by the children in school each morning this week as they took part in the Bosco’s Got Talent Competition. Although I have been a little under the weather I was determined not to miss this happy event when all the school can join together. Today we received an unexpected visit from Fr Grant who declined our generous invitation to perform on the stage. We did however manage to sing Merry Christmas to him and send him on his way a very happy man.
Our Breakfast and Stjbkidzone After School Clubs will be available from the first day back, however, our after-school activity clubs will begin on Monday 9th January 2023.
I would like to thank you for all your kind words of support throughout what has been quite a challenging year. It is good for our teachers and support staff to know that their hard work and selfless effort is much appreciated and I would like to wish you all a Peaceful and Happy Christmas and look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday 5th January 2023 at 8.45am.
Yours sincerely
Mr D MacAreavy- Headteacher
