Latest Covid Update

30 November 2021 (by stjohnb)

Dear Parents and Carers

Following the latest guidance for schools I have regrettably decided to postpone our Christmas Bingo which was due to take place this Friday.  We will now look to have a New Year Celebration Bingo when we return to school after Christmas.  Guidance allows parents to maintain our current arrangements outside of school but I would urge you to be more vigilant with regards to social distancing when dropping off and picking up your children as many schools are seeing a negative impact at the current time.  Masks must be worn in communal areas and we remain hopeful that our arrangements for the Infant Nativity will be able to go ahead as long as masks are worn and a lateral flow is taken before attending school.  Unfortunately we will not be able to perform a Junior Carol Concert in a live situation as the numbers of parents would simply be too great to accommodate.  The Junior Staff are however recording the children's carols and we hope to present them to you on 17th December.  At least this way your extended family can enjoy your children's performance.  I do hope that you understand the reasons for these unfortunate decisions but once again our priority must be to maintain the educational provision for our children.

I shall keep you informed of any changes and would like to reassure you that the teachers and support staff will make our Advent and Christmas Celebrations as exciting as we possibly can.

After School Clubs will stop on Friday 10th December and recommence on Monday 10th January 2022, when it is our intention to provide as many if not all of the activities inside.

I cannot stress enough the difficulties that so many primary schools are facing at this difficult time and would like to thank you for your sensible approach which continues to help us provide our primary role.

Yours sincerely

Mr D MacAreavy - Headteacher
