School Closure Tomorrow for ALL PUPILS4 January 2021 (by stjohnb) |
Dear Parents and Carers
Following the broadcast earlier this evening all schools have been instructed to close until at least the February half term. We shall be open for vulnerable children and key workers from Wednesday, but I must make it clear that school will be closed to all children in all year groups tomorrow in order for us to organise school staff and plan our remote learning for your children. I do hope that you understand the need for us to have just one day where we can plan how school will move forward and support your children. All primary schools need to seek clarification as to what constitutes Key Workers as it may be a requirement this time around that both parents must be key workers. I shall communicate with you as soon as we have put our plans in place, which will be sometime tomorrow. If you are in a position to look after your child at home whether they may be considered vulnerable or in a key worker category this will clearly help us as we move forward together.
I shall continue to be available daily from 7.00am onwards if you need to speak to me or feel that I may be able to help you in anyway.
We worked together so well as a school community and I know that our children benefitted greatly from this collaboration throughout the autumn term and see no reason why this should not be case until we are able to resume a normal timetable.
I shall continue to keep you informed of any developments in much the same way as we have done throughout this unique and difficult school year.
Yours sincerely
Mr D MacAreavy - Headteacher
