Dear Parents and Carers

Following the conclusion of the meeting that I informed you about yesterday. Sefton Council have made the decision to push back start dates for phase 1 which as you know by now includes reception, year 1 and year 6 children. The new proposed date is Monday 22nd June 2020. No decision at this time has been made with regards to children in years 2 - 5 and the Secretary of State for Education intends to make a formal announcement later today. I shall of course keep you up to date but I am able to say that we are hopeful that we will be able to arrange some socially distanced meeting with our Year 6 children with the Heads of Year of their High Schools before the end of the school year. We are all clearly disappointed but our children's safety and those of the staff must come first. I shall of course keep you informed of any future developments and thank you once again for your conduct throughout this unique and difficult time.
